Inti Raymi

     
          The Inti Raymi "Festival of the Sun" was a religious ceremony of the Inca Empire in honor of the god Inti, one of the most venerated gods in Inca religion. According to chronicler Garcilaso de la Vega, Sapa Inca Pachacuti created the Inti Raymi to celebrate the winter solstice and a new year in the Andes of the Southern Hemisphere.



 

         During the Inca Empire, the Inti Raymi was the most important of four ceremonies celebrated in Cusco, as related by Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. The celebration took place in the Haukaypata or the main plaza in the city. The ceremony was also said to indicate the mythical origin of the Incas, lasting nine days of colorful dances and processions, as well as animal sacrifices to ensure a good cropping season.


Songkran.


      Songkran or Thai New Year is celebrated around April 13 to 15 each year in Thailand,together with New Year celebrations for many of the traditional calendar used in South Asia and Southeast Asia.At the beginning,the festival dates are determined based on astrological calculations,but now the date specified in the festival calendar.Songkran is celebrated on the hottest day in each year in Thailand.At first,the Thai New Year is the beginning of the year in Thailand.



      Songkran festival led by tradition splashing water.People roam the streets while holding buckets of water or water pistol,or standing in the street while holding a hose and pour water towards other.The custom of splashing water was originally a way to pay homage to others by capturing "blessed water'' which has been poured to clean Buddha statues and poured into the new parents to give good luck to their families.



      For young people,due in April is the hottest month in Thailand.It was made the day festive fun with poured water on the others,until the onset of symptoms such as fighting the water and splashing water at people who drive vehicles.

festival around the world.

Do you know about festival in the world? We have so many festival. In Malaysia we have multiracial,all race have there own festival. All festival is celebrated in a lively and once a year.Each celebration is celebrated with traditional and full of manners.

           In Malaysia,malays usually muslims. Muslims have their own festivals such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrated after the month of Ramadhan (fasting month). This festival is celebrated to celebrate a victory after a month of fasting.In the morning of the day,all muslims will perform Solat Sunat Hari Raya. Usually,relatives and family will gather to celebrate this festival.There are many traditional dishes prepared on the day of this festival such as Ketupat,Lemang,Rendang,Serunding and Dodol. On this day,all muslims will wear new clothes to show the happiness and gratitude. On Hari Raya all muslims take the opportunity to forgiveness and visiting relatives.

  
  
 
 

 
                                                      

Chinese community have there own festival such as Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year symbolizes the beginning of the turning-point in the fate and life.Before the day of the new year begin all relative will be gather. All family members will feast with traditional dishes such as Yee Sang,Smoked Meats,Sausages and Mandarin Orange. Young people will be visiting the elderly and received ang pau money in a red envelope to symbolize good fortune,given by the families of those who are still not married. After fifteen days ,Chinese New Year celebration ended With Chap Goh Mey.



Deepavali or Dewali is a festival celebrated by all Hindu community around the world. The word Dewali is a combination of the word "Dipa"the mediator of light and the word "Gavali" is a line.Deepavali is celebrated between October and November. This festival also know as festival of light. On the morning of Deepavali,Hindus will undergo a bath oil that symbolizes cleansing body and spirit. After the even symbolizes purification of a new beginning,the Hindus will visit the temple where the statue of Hindu god will be decorated with garlands. At the entrance of  the Hindu's home placed decorative Hindus "ponds",delicate floral decoration drawn on the ground that are usually made from variety colors of grains.





In conclusion,there are so many festival around the world. All festivals will be celebrated with full of happiness and gratitude without leave the traditional culture. All festivals should be celebrated and protected to ensure the future generations know how the festival is celebrated.
